The 2.5 four cylinder engine of Altima Hybrid 2011 features a push-button starter that produces almost no noise from under the hood and brags about the unbroken timing of the valve and its electronic throttle control. The engine is coupled with a Hybrid Electric Control Unit and an electric motor that operates in concurrence with a Continuous Variable Transmission that give a smooth and powerful drive to the wheel.

The 180 lb-ft torque of the Altima Hybrid 2011 created from the electric motor at zero rpm produces enough force to move the car slowly even without the aid of the gasoline engine. This allows for more fuel savings while driving in the city, caught in a traffic jam or trapped in the stop and go signals. The changeover from gasoline power to electric power and back is quite flawless because of the “clever” and smooth a CVT or Continuously Variable transmission that achieves the role of an automatic transmission.

The Altima Hybrid 2011 has front-wheel disk brakes that is very responsive to the touch, with a nice pedal feel and which makes it a safe car to drive in snowy road surfaces and other not so perfect road condition. It sports a leather-wrapped steering wheel and comes with a rear spoiler and fog lamps in a 17-inch wheel in the new aluminum rims.
